You can't make these things up!

The President recently spoke at a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. He explained to those good people how he would like to "work his way around congress until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again." I have never in my life seen a politician with as much arrogance and stupidity! What the heck is he talking about? We all know he is cheating, lying, Chicago style Democrat, but to openly flaunt his disdain for the Constitution, he was sworn to uphold is infuriating. If George W Bush had said something like that, the bloodsucking media would have crucified him. It is all Ho-Hum with Obama. He is either really stupid or really evil. I guess because he is so sure he is right about EVERYTHING he can just by pass the checks and balances built into the system. I'd like to go line by line through the Constitution with him, the great Constitutional law professor, and explain why the checks and balances are in there. Grrr... I'm worked up. Tonight, I don't care who gets the Republican nomination, I just want this man gone! I think I might have Obama Derangement syndrome, because I can't even stand the sound of his voice any longer.

Now for some good news, Yeah for Republican Robert Turner who quite handily won the special election in New York's 9th Congressional district. He beat out Democrat David Weprin by 53 to 46 percent in an area with a 3-1 Democratic Advantage. If this doesn't send a message to the Bozo-in-Cheif, nothing will.

Hope for Change friends,

Laura

Today  because I decided to work out like I was 20 instead of 40, the blogging will be brief.  My eyelids are sore people!  It is a sad, sad state of affairs for these old muscles.  If you see someone crying in the Y's parking lot tomorrow morning, it will be me yelling at myself to go back in there and do it again.

Enough whining!  The last debate was okay, we need to thin down the contenders though.  I like some of these people, but they aren't going to make it, so they should drop out.  There is a cacophony of political noise, we need to pare it down to a few people running so that we can properly hear what they are saying.   I'm still thinking it will end up being Perry/Bachman, and I'm still not so much a Perry fan.  I'm keeping an open mind though..   We shall see what happens in the next few months.

Let's end today's blog post with something fun.

Love to you all,
Laura

Debate and a Giveaway!

So there is another Debate going on tonight. At the Stultz house I will be in charge of watching and reporting to Jerry, as he will be busy watching football. I don't get how anyone could pick football over a debate, but then I don't get the appeal of those Housewives shows, so what do I know. Anyhow, I am excited. Another chance to see what makes these people think they are qualified to run a country.

Now for the giveaway, I will be giving a copy of Ann Coulters "Demonic-How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America" If you are or want to be a part of the Conserva-Chicks book club, it will be the next book we read. If you aren't a Conserva-Chick you should read it any way. Ann can put liberal nonsense into perspective like no one else, and totally kick butt while doing it. She is one of my heroes.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment. I know it gives some people a hard time, but I think I might have fixed it. Try again! I will pick the winner using a random number generator tomorrow evening at 10:00 PM Central time. I will post the winner shortly thereafter.

Good Luck Friends,

Laura

Amazing Grace

Today we remember the horrible events of September 11, 2001. The suffering was unbearable on that day, and in many ways it still is. I hold tightly to the knowledge that although we live in a fallen world, where evil men can do something like this. Where famine, war, and natural disasters can and do destroy lives. God is still in control. This is a temporary stopping place, we see but a small portion of God's plan. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are hurting today where ever they might be. May God bless you and keep you always.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Getting Involved!

Are you frustrated with the direction our country is headed in?  Tonight at my book club "The Conserva-Chicks of Anoka County", we discussed the need for more people to get involved.  We need to take responsibility for what is happening.  Sitting around complaining isn't going to change anything.  If you feel you don't have enough knowledge to make wise political choices, get informed.  Start reading, start talking to others. Maybe you don't know where to start.  Ask yourself what issue really matters to you and then start small.  Call or write to your senator or representative.  Share with them how you feel about that issue.  Go to Town Hall meetings.  Listen to what others are saying and take the time to think about your position.  Stuff matters, my friends.  Being wishy-washy is way over-rated in our culture.  Stand firm, have strong moral positions and the conviction to stand behind those positions.  We need leaders and citizens to return to what made America the greatest country on Earth.

Praying for and with you all,
                Laura

Now for a little fun!

Also, I  believe I have finally fixed the comment  problem.  Let me know if there are further problems.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly!

Hey there Blog Friends! There is so much to write about. The debate, the media's coverage of the debate, the Bozo in Chief's speech. I'll start with the good. I think we can all agree that any one of the people standing on that stage during the debate would be preferable to Obama. Can I get an Amen?   Heck even Hillary at this point would be preferable to this guy. I keep thinking that my opinion of him can't get any lower, and then he opens his mouth and it does!

I watched the debate again today while I was walking on the treadmill at the Y.  I think I was the only person watching the debate, and Fox's coverage of the debate, all while trying to  write a blog post in my head and stay on that ding dang thing.  It is a wonder I didn't get too preoccupied and fly off  and hit the grandpa behind me.  Multitasking is a thing of beauty!!

Anyhow, after watching I'm still not sure who I am pulling for.  Mitt Romney is very Presidential, he did well. He isn't a conservative though.  Ron Paul is who he is.  I agree with much of what he says, but I am a realist.  He ain't gonna make it.  He just doesn't have the support and he is a little too far out of the mainstream.  His foreign policy views are CRAZY!  I mean really," Why shouldn't Iran have Nuclear power? " Hello, they want to kill us!  Newt was great, he is smart, conservative, and could do the job.  We are sick of him though, his time has come and gone.  Michelle Bachman, I love her!  She speaks her mind freely.  She is brave and bold and solid in her views and convictions.  Will I support her 100% if she makes it.  Heck yes!  But, I don't think she will.  The liberal media is already slaughtering her.  Their hatred of her rivals their hatred of Sarah Palin.  I am also a little worried about her knowledge of foreign policy.  But hey, she can get advisors right?    Rick Perry did great, he answered the questions well, he has a presence, he has experience. He is from one of the greatest states in the nation.  God bless Texas.  I don't like him though.  I just don't know why yet..  I need to study and watch him more to figure out why.  He is just a little too slick for my taste.  Everybody else? meh!  Nobody is doing it for me yet.  I am still praying that Chris Christie will run, but again I am a realist so I am going to say it will probably be Perry/ Bachman and I will work my backside off to get them elected.  I'd love to hear your views on the debate, what did you think?  Who won.

Now for the bad, with the exception of Fox news of course, the Media did the expected crap with their coverage of the debate.  It has become so predictable.  Their portrayal of the candidates  responses clearly shows negative bias.  No fair and balanced for NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, OR CNN.  Rachel Maddow really wins the prize for craziest response though.  She is quickly following the path of her fellow liberal nutjob Keith Olberman.   I almost can't watch anymore.  If Obama loses, she will crack.  Mark my words friends!

Now, last but not least, the UGLY,  my evaluation of our fearless leader's speech.  I really think that this self absorbed moron still thinks he has all the answers.  If we foolish conservatives would just listen to his wise commands all our problems would be solved.  His everloving arrogance is revolting!   Did he come up with anything new? No!  His answer is always the same, spend, spend, and then spend some more.  We must tax the rich more so we can send our way out of this.  It  hasn't worked yet, but heck let's keep trying.  How about establishing a pro- business environment so employers will start hiring again?  We need to start with getting rid of Obamacare so small businesses can hire without fear of penalties.  Please dear God in Heaven save our country from this Jackass.

That is the end of my rant for today.  Please, please, pretty please comment.  I am getting about 100 readers a day, but no comments.  If  the comment section isn't working for you, try to preview your comment first and then press comment again.

                 Love to you all,

TAXES!

The liberal folks are always crying for more taxes. They believe this will solve all our problems, but they would be WRONG! The rich and the greedy corporations must pay their fair share. But I ask, what is their fair share. The majority of these "rich" people are all ready paying over 50% of their income in taxes. This is crazy! Where is the incentive to work hard if the more you make the more the government takes?

If we tax corporations more, they will just pass that cost along to the consumer, because they are responsible to make a profit for their shareholders. So who gets hurts by this higher taxation of corporations? The poor! It is called a regressive tax. An example would be, we tax the oil companies at a higher rate (because they are destroying the earth you know!), the oil companies raise their prices. So everyone is paying more at the pump, but it most hurtful to the poor. A larger percentage of their income is now going to go to filling up their tank. A necessity to get to work. They will also be hit by higher prices on food, clothes and shoes because of the higher cost to ship these goods. It hurts everyone to pay these higher prices, but if you are just scraping by, it kills you!

I don't understand why this is so complicated for half of our country to get! I am by no means an economist, heck I can barely balance my checkbook. I get it! Why can't others? What we have is a lack of common sense and wisdom. I hope that we can wake people up to the nonsense that is going on.

Please share your thoughts even if you disagree. I am loving this blog and sharing my take on the world, but I sure would love more feedback. I know people are reading, I've had over a thousand hits. So start chatting people.

Love to you and yours!

A Rambling Rant about Race Relations!

Today I saw the movie "The Help".  It was excellent, almost as good as the book.  I can recommend both very highly.  After seeing the film, I keep asking myself, why  does the black community vote in the majority for Democrats?   It makes zero sense.  The democratic party was and still is in my opinion the party that wants to to keep the black man down.  They used to accomplish this by fear, intimidation, and good old Jim Crow.  Now it is by creating dependency by giving just a little bit of money to keep their vote, but not enough to escape poverty and violence and despair.  The big powerful government going to keep these poor ignorant people in their place.  It makes me fighting mad!  If you know me, you know that is not good.  I'd like to slap the next pompous self righteous liberal jackass that I hear call the tea party racists.

How about treating all people regardless of their skin color with dignity and worth?  How about if we don't give piddling little handouts and instead give equal opportunity?  How about we have vouchers so the inner city children can get the heck out of their failing horrid schools and have a chance?  I am going to pray that strong men and woman of color reject the lies that bind and hold them down.    I am going to pray that more people like Herman Cain step forward and lead.  I think healing will only come in the area of race relations in this country when people start seeing the truth.  The Republican party is the party of freedom and responsibility.  We need to work at helping others to see this.  Please share your thoughts on this issue.

Book Review-"The New Reagan Revolution"

I belong to a wonderful bookclub called the Conserva-chicks of Anoka County.  We read and discuss different conservative books.    If you are local and interested in joining, contact me.  I am hoping to get a link up soon, but the computer is not cooperating.  I have to wait until my technical guy can help.  He is busy working, going back to school and being the best daddy and husband ever, so I cut him some slack in the tech. department.

Our current book is "The New Reagan Revolution-How Ronald Reagan's Principles Can Restore America's Greatness".  It is fabulous!  Chock full of wisdom.  After reading it, I really wished we could reincarnate him and just re-elect him.  Obviously not gonna happen, so lets see if we can elect someone close to his leadership, character, and strength.   We can hold him and his principles up as a litmus test of sorts, for the candidates that are running.

The principles are Party Unity, Open Communication, Individual Freedom,  Free Economy, Responsibility to the Future,  Applying the Reagan Ideal of Working Together-Asking How do We Agree?, Stopping the Invasion of Private Rights, The Banner of Bold Colors-Being Bold about Beliefs, Reagan's Call to Arms-inform yourselves of the issues.  These are good and right principles that we as conservatives need to fall back on.  We need to be smart, courageous, and bold if we want to restore our nation to greatness.  I challenge you to read and explore, don't just take someones word for it.

This speech gives me goosebumps!

Libya-Are we going to be better off?

I know I said I was going to write a book report on Michael Reagan's book, and I will later.  Right now I am interested in what is going on in Libya, so that's what I am going to blog about.   I am concerned about what exactly we are doing involving ourselves again in a Muslim country.  Do not get me wrong, Moammar Gadhafi is a brutal dictator, who is our enemy, and should be deposed.  My worry is, who will replace him?  Things are not going well for the United States in the Middle East.  We have spent millions of dollars and thousands of soldiers lives.  We have to win what we started, but we don't have to start anything else.  I am worried that the Rebels who will replace Gadhafi will be even more anti-American.   First Egypt now Libya, these rebels are not replacing their evil dictators with democracies, but rather theocracies.  Sharia Law is coming to a country near you!  We have a President who appeases these bullies and disrepects our one ally in the Middle East, Israel.   I am not anti-Islam, but I am anti people who want to wipe Isreal and the West off the map.  I'd love to hear others thoughts on this.  All I can say is Come quickly Lord Jesus, because things are going to get worse.

First Ever Giveaway!

To celebrate my first week of blogging I am having a giveaway! I've kind of been blown away by the amount of people reading. I had over 500 page views when I was expecting around 5! Very Exciting, but I want more comments. Sooo......I am going to be giving a $20.00 gift card to my very favorite store on the planet. The store that my sweet husband wishes would close its doors forever. The store where my blood pressure automatically lowers when I enter its magic sliding doors. Target! All you have to do to enter this giveaway is comment. I made it much easier to do so. You can just say hi, or comment about the blog. You can say that you hate everything I stand for and hope the magic doors at Target close on my big mean conservative foot. I don't care, just comment.

I will pick a winner tomorrow night by a random number generator, or maybe just by Kenny pulling a number out of a hat. I'll post the results by 10:00 PM Tuesday.

Now for some classic School House Rock,

I am not a racist, I just think Obama is an idiot.

One of my top gripes with liberals is if you disagree with their ideas they call you names! If you disagree with gay marriage you are a hateful homophobe. If you disagree with the President you are a racist. If you want to work on the national debt you are selfish. It makes me crazy! Argue your point with facts. I have yet to meet a Tea Party person who is a racist. Where are all the hateful people? The Tea Party cares about policy not skin color. I am bored to death with the media's coverage of Tea Party events, it is always the same drivel. Hateful, angry, racist white people who want to advantage of the poor. Really? Come on now! Enough is enough! Most of the Tea Party is made up of grandmothers.

My children have beautiful brown skin. I love them more than anything else on earth. I am not a racist. I just think Obama is an idiot. He has a worldview that is totally opposite mine. He believes that big government solves problems. I believe that big government causes problems. He believes the government's job is to take care of people. I believe that the government's job is allow freedom for people to take care of themselves. It is not about his skin color, it is about his policies!

Please dear God, let him run!

I have a serious political crush on this guy! He floats my boat. A straight shooter who has what it takes to lead this country.

Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8 (NIV)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God

I take this verse from Micah very seriously. This is what God requires of us. He wants justice for the poor and oppressed, He wants us to show mercy to the suffering. I think conservatives are often portrayed as greedy, heartless, selfish people who don't care for the needs of others. It is just not true with the majority of us. I believe God has called us as people,as churches to love and help others. I believe that governments can't and won't ever be able to do the job that followers of God can. We can throw millions upon millions of dollars into government programs and there will still be poor people suffering.

It is just too easy to say Oh, let them get welfare or food stamps or whatever and not have to invest personally in peoples lives. It is also not the most loving, just thing to do to create a generational dependency on government help. How is that helping? After years of government handouts, we still have housing projects in every city that are full of poverty and despair. We still have violence and drugs and death for a whole generation of young black men. The government helping people just doesn't work.

We need to as individuals, families, and churches come along side of the poor and suffering and help them help themselves. We need stop giving people money and start giving them jobs. You don't work, you don't eat. We have enough projects in this country that we could employ all of these people. Even if it is just picking up trash or painting buildings. We of course would have to fight the ding dang unions, who would complain about non union workers. So be it. Lets show real mercy and hope and compassion to the poor and oppressed. Let us take back that job from the government ,because they really really suck at it.

Some Tim Hawkins

I have posted this before on Facebook, but it bears repeating. He cracks me up.

This is going to be fun!

So my first day blogging, I get 98 visitors. Yeah! I am amazed by how many people are feeling the same way I do. We are frustrated with the direction this country is going. We want America to remain a land of opportunity for our children. We want our elected officials to be servants of the people. We are not racist, we are not haters. We have a voice and we are going to use it.

I am digging into the candidates who are running right now. I want to look at their voting records. Most importantly, I want to see if they DO what they SAY they will. I'm sick of talk, I want actions! I have to say that if I could have my pick of anyone right now, my dream ticket would be Governor Chris Christie for President with Michele Bachman as Vice President. Things change though. Michele is coming out strong. She is proving herself a fighter. My opinions are still being formed. Isn't it exciting that we have some good options? I will always be a Bobby Jindal fan, I just don't think he is quite ready for the big show yet. Rick Perry is great, I just need to learn more. I think we can all agree that whoever wins will be better than the Bozo who is there now.

I hope this blog is a place where people feel free to share thoughts and opinions. I've made it easier to comment. You just have to put your name or anonymous. You no longer need an email address. Also if you haven't already, please take part in my poll.

Love to you and
Hope for Change in 2012!

A beginning

I feel the need to start a blog so that I can have a place for my rants other than Facebook.  Half of my Facebook friends are liberals and they don't really want to read what I have to say.  It is going to get ugly in this next election cycle.  I need to vent but don't want to offend.  I hope I'll have a few readers, but if not this will be just for me.  The goal is to post conservative policy, election news, ideas and moods around the country and whatever else catches my eyes and ears. Enjoy my friends!
